Being Alone.

Let me tell you one thing about being alone in your house...it's fun and not fun at the same time. I mean no wife telling you to clean up and kids bothering you when you're watching the final laps of the F1 race...dishes could be piled up high, clothes need not be in the laundry hamper...but then, after all that, it hits you.....you are damn alone. and yes...

it's not also fun...i miss the noise...the voice of my wife telling me to pick up the socks that i just left dangling on the chair...the sounds of my daughters talking to each other...from the second floor bedroom which you could hear all the way downstairs...

the warm body that sleeps next to you in your bed...i have a king sized bed where i used to occupy about 1/4 because the wife would take up 3/4 of the whole thing....but now...it's so vast and open it's like sleeping in the middle of the sahara...very cold at night.

i have no one to fight with over the TV i actually run out of shows to watch and that includes shows that recorded to the DVR while i was out or sleeping...

it's funny because i was married very early...around 21..(me and the wife will be celebrating our 10th year this december)...never really had the time to go out and be a single dude, i was fresh out of college and there were times when i would think..."what would it be like if i wasn't married?" and this period of time has given me that experience...and maybe because i got so used to having my wife with me always...i don't find the single life really entertaining...it's actually more mundane. When my family was here i wouldn't know what would happen every night i would go home...we might all watch TV, or maybe in the spur of the moment go out to dinner, watch a movie, have a fight :), right now i KNOW what's going to happen....

wake up.... goto work (boring).... run at the park after work.....go home.....cook some dinner.....watch TV.....go upstairs....watch more TV and go on the web......sleep while the TV is on....REPEAT THE NEXT DAY.

Good thing this is a temporary situation...
